ITE Membership

If you consider yourself a transportation professional, then membership in the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is a must. ITE, through its Membership Directory, provides an incredibly broad network for transportation professionals in search of information or people to team with on proposals. ITE's monthly magazine is constantly providing information to apply our skills, whether its a new trip generation rate, or how neo-traditional street design works better, or a new, effective parking policy. ITE national committees establish parking standards, and compile the largest inventory of trip generation data in the world. Without ITE membership, it is difficult to stay current in our profession.

The Vancouver Island Section could be one of the best represented sections in ITE if we set our minds to it. David Stearns will have information and application forms at Victoria lunch meetings. Arrangements are being made for the same to happen at Vancouver dinner meetings. Do not hesitate, as now is the time. ITE is offering a $75.00 (Can) introductory year's membership to Canadians... extended to new memberships in 2002!.

In addition to full membership in ITE, the Vancouver Island Section also offers membership in the Section only. This membership provides discounted rates for our monthly meetings. Section Membership is $15 per year.
